Scope of Position: The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for entering client level, programmatic and service data into the Chester County Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). This position will also handle end user support and help desk functionalities, including resolving system tickets. As a part of end user support, the Data Entry Operator will also assist the Date & Street Outreach Manager in the training of Chester County HMIS end users. This position will manage and maintain effective record keeping within HMIS to ensure data accuracy and compliance with funding sources and programs and non-participating HMIS organizations. These organizations provide emergency housing, supportive services, financial assistance, and case management to households experiencing homelessness in Chester County.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for entering client level, programmatic and service data into the Chester County Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
• Perform regular data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance with funding sources, as well as federal/state/county regulations.
• Maintain a high level of integrity, privacy and confidentiality of client data, documents, and records.
• Handle end user support and help desk functionalities, including resolving system tickets, and end user training.
• Generate and maintain HMIS data quality and programmatic reports.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Proficiency in database systems including data entry, maintenance, quality assurance, and report production.
• Strong analytical, math, and reasoning skills along with a high level of professional curiosity. Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and data quality.
• Communication with other team members, managers or customers is essential.
• Ability to meet deadlines through scheduling, planning, goal setting, specifically organizational and time management skills, including ability to self-motivate and manage.
• Previous experience serving homeless populations or in a human services setting is preferred, but not required.
• A valid driver's license & reliable transportation is required
